Your farmer/florist BFF

Hi, I'm Tiara, the farmer/florist behind Brockman Family Farms in Franklin County, and I want to be your new flower BFF. I've always been a home vegetable gardener and had never considered flowers beyond their value to pollinators. A few years ago I tossed out a packet of zinnia seeds and, here we are. The allure of flowers became clear and I've grown with my flowers into the farmer/florist before you today.

I have a small but mighty plot where I grow quality flowers that are healthy for you and healthy for the soil. With no chemical interventions and minimum tillage I produce the flowers and foliage that I use to create your perfect arrangement. While farming is fueled by knowledge, research, and science, it's rooted in faith and I promise to never consider practicality without values.

If you want to order an arrangement or bouquet, inquire about a DIY wedding, or just ask a question, please fill out our inquiry form!

Why buy local flowers?

The bouquet you buy at the farmers market can change the world.

Really? Seems a bit overstated-but it's true. Your power as a consumer is choice- you get to choose how and where to spend your hard earned dollars, what causes to support, what values to perpetuate. When you say ‘YES!’ to locally and sustainably grown flowers you're supporting a farmer in your community instead of an overseas flower conglomerate that exploits their labor forces, drenches their flowers in chemicals, and uses an immense amount of fossil fuels to ship their flowers to wholesalers in America.

Today, people are better informed than ever before. We think about our footprints and emissions, consider food miles, and care about what we put in our minds, bodies, and homes. Where you source your flowers is a natural extension of that intentionality. With a simple switch from imported to local flowers you can support local economy and get a better and healthier product for your home or event. Win-Win.
